Real Men Don't Write Poetry

Writer's picture: Stephen McCallumStephen McCallum

Real men don't write poetry,

Because it has no popular fame.

Real men just get blustery,

If asked to play this silly game.

Real men don't write poetry,

For real men don't feel life.

Real men ignore their history,

For real men don't see strife.

Real men don't write poetry,

For they are truly blind.

Real men don't relish a mystery,

For they seldom use their mind.

Real men don't write poetry,

So I must not be a man.

Real men waste their pity,

On me, because I can!
