Chapter 16: The Theory of Atlantis

"Memories of a vanished continent seem to be instinctively shared even by animals...Eels swim from European and American rivers to mate in the seaweed forests of the Sargasso Sea, where a great underwater river still flows along its ancient bed through the Atlantic. Birds in their seasonal migration from Europe to South America circle over the same area in the Atlantic, perhaps looking for and not finding a place where birds once rested.

The memory of Atlantis is recalled by massive and unexplained ruins on both sides of the Atlantic. They are unexplained not only because we do not know who built them, but also because they are so huge that their construction by races 'before' history seems inconceivable. And a careful re-examination of certain artifacts indicates that they represent the use of techniques and mechanical devices thousands of years before these were invented, according to the generally accepted timetable of history."

Our present level of accepted understanding is still limited. But the vast majority of researchers believe that: a) the island of Atlantis probably did exist, b) its culture was probably more advanced than any of the societies of our recorded history, and c) a natural calamity, which was not foreseen, destroyed the island. Beyond these points, the speculation is vastly different and personal. This proposed hypothesis is based on years of research into a variety of fields and sources, and seeing that the old cliché still holds true: all roads do lead to Atlantis.

The most detailed and extensive study of the subject of Atlantis still belongs to the peculiar little politician from Minnesota, Ignatius Donnelly. For the past nine decades this small, home-taught scholar has been the brunt of many jokes because he believed in things others could not accept. But so did Copernicus, Galileo and Newton. Perhaps some of what he believed had flaws, such as Francis Bacon writing the works of Shakespeare with mathematical messages. But what the stalwart, traditionalist scholars have chosen to overlook is the amount of fact behind the fiction.

It is not accepted in all realms of literature that Shakespeare himself wrote nuance messages of such a subtle nature that only the truly initiated could hear the message in each performance. While on the surface, each of his plays and sonnets tell volumes of human nature and true humanity. Perhaps it was only Donnelly's available education that made him assume that William lacked such skill... those that taught Donnelly convinced him, the English that lived over a hundred years before him lacked the imagination. So he sought out an American who possessed such skill and wonder.

Every daily newspaper and major magazine makes mistakes when building their hypothesis of today's events, based on the information that is readily available to them. Look at Watergate, Whitewater, Iran-Contra, the Michael Jackson scandals, or the Menendez Brothers and O.J. Simpson murder trials. The reporters, historians and lawyers all hear the same set of "facts" and "evidence", then believe totally different stories about what they mean. Blaming Donnelly for having a little imagination is not grounds for condemning his life of research and information collection.

Given all of his faults, Ignatius Donnelly possessed one important characteristic. He desired to know more than what was available to him. He studied all the sources of information, modern and ancient, and he saw within the weave, a pattern he could grasp. Since that time many have sought to support and honor him, will others have tried to banish his writings into the well of forgotten rubbish. Yet, they cannot, for there is something inherently truthful about Donnelly's conclusions...that the many wish for, what the few fear.

In his introduction to the 1976 publication of "Atlantis", by Ignatius Donnelly, E.F. Bleifer proclaims Donnelly's accomplishment at popularizing the mythology of Atlantis. Bleifer observes that science had advanced much in the 75 years since Donnelly proposed his theory, and that science had disproved all of his suppositions. However, Bleifer was pre-mature in his evaluation. Since 1976 we have learned much more about new fields of science, such as plate tectonics and volcanic geology, fluid dynamics and 'Chaos', astro-geology, and archeo-anthropology. In terms of our knowledge, Bleifer's ridicule of Donnelly is as inaccurate as Donnelly's assumptions of Bacon.

Through plate tectonics and volcanism we have learned that the American continents have been moving away from the European and African continents, at an average rate of 1-2 inches per year. That means that for the past 140 million years these gigantic land masses have been pushing away from each other. In that time many thousands of islands have risen, existed, and collapsed back into sea, again. There is no risk factor in the assumption that islands like the Azores, the Canaries, Greenland, Iceland, Bermuda, Bimini, Puerto Rico and Cuba, were once, or more than once, parts of one or more much larger dry-land masses. The only risk is trying to specifically date each and every instance. And Donnelly did not do that. He only demonstrated that the facts were there, and that Atlantis could have existed some time during that 140 million years. And, to date, there is no individual scientist, philosopher or theologian who can demonstrate otherwise.

The most popular beliefs about the island of Atlantis hold to the idea that: a) the Atlanteans were most probably a race of people from another star system (or, possibly another planet in this system which suffered a great calamity); b) the Atlanteans were a great scientific and advanced intellectual race; and c) this race of people had natural skills that we, today, call paranormal; such as, telepathy, psycho-kinetics, clairvoyance, levitation, etc. Perhaps this is all more true than we speculate. But then come all the questions.

If the people of Atlantis came from other stars, or planets, where did they come from? Why did they come here? If they were such a great, educated race, why couldn't they avoid the destruction? And if they had such wonderful powers, what happened to those marvelous talents? Lastly, what do we know that can support and defend this whole theory?

First, where did they come from? Our level of astro-science has essentially eliminated every planet in our solar system, as we know them. But we are beginning to learn things about Mars and Venus that suggest that perhaps longer than a million years ago one of these two "might" have been able to sustain some form of "cultural" biological lifeforms. But these are only vague possibilities. If they came from farther away, the strongest candidate for consideration is the star, Sirius (Alpha Cannis Major, or the Dog Star), located in our local galactic neighborhood in the Milky Way. A large percentage of our ancient legends and mythologies tell of those heroes and "gods" who came from the stars. The Aborigine of Australia, the Dogon tribe of Central Africa, and a primitive tribe still living along the Brazilian Amazon River, all specifically identify Sirius (the Dog Star), as the home of their most legendary ancient ancestors. That would not be an unreasonable idea considering that Sirius is the sixth closest star to our own Sun, and is the brightest star in the night sky. But it could be that Sirius is the closest visible marker to where their actual home world.

Why they couldn't avoid the destruction of the island is the easily to respond to. We are supposed to be so damn intelligent and technological and sophisticated, why can't we avoid hurricanes, earthquakes, volcanoes, tornadoes and tsunamis? Perhaps, like us, they had the ability to initiate the destruction that destroyed them (atomic, nuclear, chemical or ecological).

Why did they come here? Well, if they did, it could have simply been a scientific mission and the crew decided to stay, for whatever reason. They could have been trying to run away from the destruction of their home world. With nuclear weapons, pollution and ozone depletion, many of us would leave here, if it were possible. But there is another equally viable theory. What if Earth was deliberately chosen because it was undeveloped, comfortably adaptable, and it was a very small insignificant planet, circling an insignificant star at the edge of the galaxy. Just the kind of property a galactic community might want to find...for a prison colony.

After a major political/military conflagration, the losers were convicted of crimes against the society. But rather than kill, torture or confine the "rebels", the community chooses to "send" them somewhere they could never become a threat to the community again. They could have been given the necessary equipment, literature and materials to sustain themselves and develop their own culture (the very things they had fought for). They would have been prevented from possessing or developing the kinds of technology that would allow them to develop interstellar travel. And some form of periodic "custodial" supervision would have been required, just ensure the galactic community's safety.

Regardless of the reason for the original colonization, the new inhabitants would have had many things to worry about, such as food and shelter. The island probably had no 'native' population, and the vastly primitive stage of evolution of the planet would have not been of any further interest to the colonists. It would take several decades before the colonists would be sufficiently developed to begin their investigations of the surrounding world. If Donnelly is correct, they would begin by expanding to a series of smaller islands in the immediate archipelago (just like living in Japan or the Philippines).

Following this line of reasoning would be little more than one or two centuries before the first bold and adventurous citizens would begin to sail across the vast oceans. In the poorest and most primitive periods of Man's history, there have always been the brave and foolish few who had to see what lie beyond the next mountain or over the next sea. Perhaps this culture survived for four or five centuries before the devastating volcano led to massive earthquakes and tidal waves destroyed the world they had built.

As totally hypothetical and unsubstantiated as this line of thought is, the fact that some culture actually did exist on those islands has to be recognized. Even if the inhabitants were "fully human" and wholly "native" to this planet there is viable reason to believe that such a culture could have developed. The very fact that this planet is 4 billion years old and that anthropologists have found human remains 3 million years old makes it very difficult for any open-minded individual to believe that man could have only been "technological and civilized" for the past 6,000 years. That would mean that the only chance for Man to have developed successfully has been for 1/2000th of our entire time on Earth. (We are extremely self-centered.) Under any other set of circumstances, no rational scientist, mathematician or Las Vegas bookie would give you odds on that being only chance for success. (Even the New York Mets can get better odds for winning the pennant.)

Avoiding the ramifications of how the community came about, the subsequent catastrophe would still have the same remnant effect. Taking the assumption that the Caribbean islands of Bermuda and Bimini are part of the central Atlantean community, and allowing the culture the opportunity to develop and grow over two centuries. We can easily postulate certain "very probable" activities. Every culture that we do have historical record of demonstrates that expansion and development are natural (except for a few very small tribes on South Pacific islands and along the Brazilian Amazon River). From Bermuda and Bimini the colony would naturally expand to Florida, Mexico and along the Atlantic drift zone (which just happens to flow, naturally, from Bermuda to the British Islands down to the entrance to the Mediterranean, and back to Bermuda. (Remember, that's how Columbus found his way west, and home.) Even with only a small percentage of expansion there would be several out-lying communities, supporting the central society.

Once the disaster occurred, the main island and central community could be devastated, possibly without any survivors. But the number of islands and the complexity of inter-island commerce would lead to the assumption that some number of survivors would make it through the initial destruction. Fishing fleets already on the water would head for nearest available land-mass. As well, other members of the attacked community would survive. Some would be rescued by fishing boats, others would make their own escape vessels (boats moored at the time of the destruction or rafts made of scraps).

The hardest single detail to hypothesize is where they would go. Not that they couldn't go anywhere, but the exact level of their technology would determine the variety of travel available to them. The most conservative estimate would be that they were limited to ocean-going "sailing" ships, and a few unpowered floating rafts. Those in the farthest out-lying "villages" might not even have to relocate. Others might just ride the Atlantic drift until the ocean brought them to a new land.

This would not only justify, but explain, how the Greeks and Romans discovered stories of Atlantis from the inhabitants of the British Isles, when they arrived later. This offers a substantial explanation for the argument that the "native" population of the British Isles never possessed the technology to construct Stonehenge. And opens the door to the real discussion of "how" Atlanteans "could" have gone all the way to Egypt. Remember, Edgar Cayce predicted (1938) that we would prove that they did make the trip, and that they built the Sphinx. (And probably were directly responsible for the construction of the pyramids.)

As well, those survivors of the devastation who happened to be on the western shores of the islands, or on the Mexican/North American mainland, might even continue west in their search for safety. Either riding the Pacific drift voluntarily, or by accident, such survivors could ride the drift to San Francisco, China, South East Asia and Australia (the Aborigines). The Kon Tiki adventure proves that they could have gone "home" at any time later.

This is direct explanation for why anthropologists and archaeologists, for over one hundred and fifty years, have been trying to explain how "historical" cultures in totally "isolated" areas of the world could share such archetypes as root language, architecture, and technical skill. There is another aspect which indirectly supports this theory.

The fact that those "historical cultures" which show only minimal exposure to these "root traits" are the extremely isolated tiny tribal units found in the very middle of such large jungle continents as South America and Africa. Their apparent isolation and limited survival skills have prevented them from reaching too far from their own central communities. But even these tribes share the "root" mythology of where their "gods" come from. Did that come from outsiders who stumbled into the villages, told their own stories and them absorbed into the tribe? Or, are these tiny tribes the last direct vestige of that lost culture?

Those survivors who did travel away from their own immediate community would be required to establish personal relationships with the native population of the new lands they shared. They might have had natural talents (clairvoyance, telekinetics, telepathy, levitation) which would make them appear like "gods" to the primitive tribal units they discovered. But even without that, their advanced technology and ability to do things, like make plows or weapons, would still be very impressive to primitive communities. Their new presence would drastically modify the evolutionary status of their new friends, and stimulate the swift development of "history". It offers a direct path to the fact that all the "human" races have both genetic similarities and genetic differences. The cultural introduction of a single outside race would create the spread of such biological anomalies.

This all readily justifies the hypothesis that Atlantis existed, was destroyed, and what happened to the people. It supports the legends and mythology built around this lost community. And employs all apparent "clues" to this culture's existence. But it has little in it support this author's "guess" that Atlantis might have been a prison colony.

But something else does. This explanation has covered all of the tiny nuances known history (from Chinese to Greek and Roman). It might even explain why the Phoenicians were such good boat builders and sailors. But it leaves a couple of imminent questions. Where were the Sumerians and the Akkadians? And, how did Piri Reis know how to draw maps of the world, with Antarctica showing the solid land-mass (with green vegetation)?

The cultures of Sumeria and Akkadia are the oldest "recorded" civilizations that Man has been able to recover, to date. Both are over 2,000 years older than Hebrew history. And because their history is recorded, we know a great deal about their social, political and religious practices. Neither of these cultures believed that they came from anywhere else of this planet, even Atlantis. Their records show that they believed that their ancestors came "straight from the stars".

In forty years of research, the scholar of ancient linguistics, Zecharia Sitchin discovered a history that has made him the brunt of some jokes from other traditional historians. But when the reader takes the opportunity to examine his research, like Ignatius Donnelly, Sitchin has done a remarkable job of collecting the information. It is his "interpretation" of the information that allows for doubt. But he made not have been "so far from right".

Sitchin determined that the ancestors of the Sumerians and Akkadians came from a planet in this solar system. A tenth planet, one which has a very, very long orbital course (it returns to our central stellar community every 3,600 years -- much like a large comet). Just because no one else can "independently" support this argument, others tend to look down their noses at him. This author can understand his premise, and can understand how he "wishes" to believe in it. But given that everything else he states is true, I could not make the math work (based on historical references and his hypothesis, the orbital course should be approximately 1900 to 2000 years).

But even if Sitchin was wrong is "guessing" that these cultures belong to a tenth planet in our own solar system, it was no guess that they (the Sumerians and Akkadians) believed they came from another planet (somewhere). Either way, these cultures believed that their ancestors possessed inter-planetary travel, built their communities in the mountains of Euro-Asia for access to the minerals and other resources, and that their "ancestors" were coming back -- someday. Their stories, legends and history would eventually become the legends and mythologies of the Greeks, Romans and Hebrews.

Most important, we can date the presence of the Sumerians and the Akkadians (approx. 4,000 BC...based on our best "educated" ability to date such ancient material). About the same time that Atlantis is "estimated" to have existed. But where Atlantis was limited to only surface travel, these other cultures had "airborne" travel (inter-planetary or not). Discovery of detailed geographical maps made by the Akkadians could have been the "secret" of the Phoenicians, giving the younger culture the advancement of bringing commerce between isolated cultures (Greece, Egypt, the British Isles, North Africa, Western Africa and India). But if these cultures could "fly" all over the world, why would there be no interaction with the apparently flourishing Atlantean community?

Because, if Atlantis was the prison colony, the Sumerians would have been the security detachment. The records indicate that the Sumerians were a "military culture", strong, battle-hardened and quite self-confidence. But who did they fight, around here? The Akkadians were "academic". Most probably an economic/scientific mission elected to study the resources of this fertile globe, while the security detachment maintained its vigilance over the "dangerous" colony on an island, thousands of miles away.

Where the citizens of Atlantis were developing their "home", and dreaming of spreading out, the other "cultures" were simply temporary duty assignments. Like soldiers and historians now, the Sumerians and Akkadians concentrated their attention on the daily routines of their lives, probably genuinely awaiting the opportunity to go "home". And, if certain present-day geologists are correct in their research, the same "catastrophe" that destroyed Atlantis, could have directly "hit" and effected both of the other cultures. They lived together and died together, with the survivors of the soldiers and academics searching for their own existence (would become Greece, Judea, Persia, Turkey and Russia).

This leads to the screaming question: what natural disaster could have killed cultural communities on opposite sides of the planet? The answer to that is what scares the 'heck' out of this author. Respected traditional geologists and geo-physicists accept that every 10,000 years the magnetic polarization of this planet shifts, from north to south, and then back to north. But what could cause the magnetic poles of a "planet" to shift 180 degrees? The experts agree only that the planet magnetically shifts. And it does this very regularly. But, the resulted damage of the whole planet be "shifted", the volcanic, earth-quakes, and oceanic disruptions would readily destroy the world (as they knew it). But when did this last occur? Just about 11,000 years ago.

John Anthony West has spent many years studying the Sphinx. His research followed that of the life work of R.A. Schwaller de Lubicz. With the assistance of respected geologists, West has been able to establish that the Sphinx is "at least" twice as old as traditional Egyptologists want to believe. And, if West is right, then the Sphinx was built around 9,000 BC., by a race of people living in Egypt of whom we have no written record, when Egypt was still a tropical country. If this particular culture was either a descendant of Atlantis or Sumeria, then they existed even before that.

But if Egypt was "tropical" in 9,000 BC, "desert" in 7000 BC, and the magnetic poles shift about every 10,000 years, then maybe we should pay some attention to these numbers. 9000 BC plus 2000 AD equals 11,000 years. 11,000 years minus 10,000 years means we're 1000 years “overdue” for a magnetic shift. Perhaps all those prophecies (from the Bible to Richard Noone) and warnings of the "end of time", and the legends and mythologies, were all designed to excite us into being better prepared for our own "catastrophic" disaster.

The last question in regard to the existence of Atlantis, is the expressed and supposed belief that this community possessed extraordinary talents and powers. The New Age hypothesis is that this island citizenry had psychic abilities which were "normal", everyday traits of Atlantean life. If so, what happened to them? (Let's just acknowledge the "bad joke" and move on: if they were so psychic and powerful, why couldn't they see what was going to happen to them? Maybe, they, like us did, and just wouldn't believe it.)

After such a disastrous and planetary catastrophe, genetic dilution with the much larger, and more dominant, gene pool of the multitude of Terran races. As a genetically recessive gene, there would be a "natural" explanation for the rare expressions of these different characteristics. Just like the dominance of certain hair colors, eye colors, skeletal figures, skin textures, and hereditary diseases or physical deformities. And, just because these traits are recessive and rare, that doesn't mean they don't really exist.

There are "recognizable" examples of these "recessive" genes throughout history. But throughout history they were "dressed" up to present the most acceptable image of their abilities, rather than just admit they were there. Jesus of Nazareth was a faith healer, and he did levitate. St. Malachy was a limited clairvoyant, "seeing" the lives of all the Popes of the Catholic Church, to its "end". Merlin the Magician was clairvoyant, claiming to be living life backwards (the only other character in written literature who "lives backwards" is the Greek Chronos, god of time). Michel de Nostradame was a full clairvoyant, seeing the entire development of the world for 2500 years beyond his life, and a limited faith healer. Edgar Cayce did astral-projection. He would go into a "trance", then literally travel to wherever his patient was, anywhere in the world, to make his diagnosis by "seeing" the problems and the solutions. Cayce probably "saw" all the lives and reincarnations of his patients through astral-projection, as well.

There have been many, many others throughout history, but most of these became little known "saints", whose skills were used to help the flocks they were responsible for. Or, shamans and witch doctors, who use their skills "dressed" up as primitive magic. Or, they became the victims of such scourges as the Witch-hunts and the Inquisition. Either way, the results do not devalue the skills and abilities, they only emphasize society's own 'mis'understanding of the world around us.

Chapter 17: The Living Symbols

This author has 'another' strange hypothesis that has developed from this research. There is a strong, viable argument that there is one individual of almost undisputed reputation who could openly verify and support the rest of these theories (from UFOs, to Atlantis, to psychic abilities, to reincarnation). An individual whose very vast reputation is directly based on such suppositions. Some who, in fact, represents generations of occult and secret wisdom. The Dalai Lama.

The present Dalai Lama is an outcast in his own homeland. Traveling the world around, ostensibly fighting for the political and social freedom of his own, Tibet. Since the sixties, Tibet has been the political puppet and territory of the Chinese Communist government. During their confiscation of property and lives, the Communists forced the Dalai Lama to leave...or possibly die. Now, he speaks at forums, dines with government leaders, and preaches the ancestral rules of peace and wisdom.

But the history of the Dalai Lama is still a mystery shrouded in an enigma. Tibetan records show that a Dalai Lama have ruled the country since about 300 BC, when the Buddhist religion was brought to Tibet from India. However, the history of Tibet goes back even further to the original creation and recordings of the Tibetan Book of the Dead. And the office of the Dalai Lama is directly tied to the Book of the Dead.

For centuries the natives, and many adventurous foreigners, have recorded the rumors, legends and prophetization’s have told that the living Dalai Lama is the physical presentation of the "godhead" and the consummation of wisdom and psychic talent. It has always been believed and reported that the living Dalai Lama was telepathic (always knew who was coming to see him), was clairvoyant (always knew when his death was imminent), practiced telekinetics (moving things with his mind) and levitation (floating in front of witnesses), and practicing astral-projection (having knowledge of the developments of the world outside the mountainous kingdom of Tibet).

Allowing for the natural naively of the primitive and tribal villages of Tibet. The Dalai Lama and his adept followers would keep the surrounding population in awe of their wondrous works, ignorant of their capabilities, and mystified by the magic of their skills. But that doesn't discount that the abilities and skills are there. Again, it serves to cover-up the truth, and create the illusion of something. So what could they be covering up?

We know for a fact that the Tibetan kingdom dates as far back as recorded history can go (at this time). That means that is kingdom is either a direct descendant of the Sumerian and Akkadian cultures. Or is the living remnant of those cultures. Which brings us all the way back to the theory of Atlantis and the established colonies. Any culture which would establish an outpost on such a small and ornate planet would create and maintain some kind of communications system.

If at some point it was determined that the 'galactic community' would back off, probably after the natural calamity destroyed the developing advance technologies, and allow this new remnant community develop at its own speed, they would still maintain some form of "quiet supervision". The abilities and powers of the living Dalai Lama would effectively serve those needs. And the isolation of the high and treacherous mountains of the Tibetan Himalayas would keep the rest of the world out. At least until they had reached the level of technology that they could face and accept the "real future". Those adventurous foreigners who would seek the wisdom of the ages, would be so few and far between as to be enjoyed rather than feared.

Telepathy and clairvoyance would readily give the Dalai Lama the ability to monitor the general development of the planet. While astral-projection would allow him to "visibly" witness the special events of history. The psychic presence of the Dalai Lama (at various times in history) might even explain those curiously miraculous "jumps" in Man's development. The specific policy of the Dalai Lama (the office of) would be a "hands-off" policy of non-interference (the Prime Directive). His interference or assistance would only prove that we, ourselves, cannot learn, manage or maintain a realistic, global social order. However, the personal empathies and emotions of individual Dalai Lamas might have overcome their sensibilities, allowing them to "drop" casual suggestions and recommendations to the "heroes" of history. His position and individual powers would still never be sufficient, by itself, to stop or prevent any of the massive periods of human destruction that Man has buried himself with.

The conquest of this small kingdom, by the Chinese Communists, did come at the most "opportune" time. Man was at the height of his advanced technology (the American were about to land a man on the moon). Being "forced" to leave and travel the world coincidentally created the opportunity for the magnanimous and wondrous Dalai Lama to "visit" every major and powerful country, and speak to their leaders. Under the cover of begging for political support for his small, isolated kingdom, the Dalai Lama has been able to talk to every leader in every aspect of public, corporate and private life.

The simple vocal "denial" of any mystic and psychic powers, and the Dalai Lama has a vastly accepted and practical "cover". Since most people don't believe in such skills, his denial that he has any prevents him from having to "demonstrate and perform" for the masses. Who better to serve as the official go-between from otherworld cultures and Terran cultures?

But the Dalai Lama may not be the only "living symbol" of our unrecorded history. There is another equally magnanimous and secretive organization which has existed in some form or another since the beginning of recorded time. What is the true destiny and history of the Free Masons? And who holds the real secrets of this secret society? The secret society of Freemasonry has been a visible part of many episodes of history, from the live and membership of Alexander the Great, to their questionable participation in the events of Jack the Ripper, to the innumerable children's hospitals they support today. Through the "public" organization of the Shriners' and the Eastern Star, the ancient Free Masons have been able to create and maintain an image of a charitable and "above board" fraternity. However, the central core of the highest levels of membership are still as secretive and "elitist" has the organization has always been. Entrance into the inter-circle has always been based first on "social and political" standing in the outside world, then on one's personal level of respectability and honor. Yet, the oath to belong to this "circle of secrets" is still made with a blood and death pledge.

Chapter 18: Biblical Armageddon

With or without any special appearances (alien or Rapture), all the warnings of any cataclysmic worldwide war should be listened to...very carefully and diligently. Every major ancient and present prophet, politician, soothsayer, evangelist and astrologer tells us that, for some reason, this period in our history is about to be turned inside out. So we had better put our valued, deductive reasoning to this problem. The daily newspaper, everyday, continues to threaten us with our own destruction.

To maintain our 'conservative' approach and make as few unreliable assumptions as possible, let's observe only the two accepted prophecies of the archetypal Armageddon. The Bible's "Book of Revelations" and the recorded visions of Nostradamus. Both have been thoroughly studied and evaluated by theological and political experts, for centuries. And both agree on the major aspects of such a war, like the location, those involved, the length, and the time. Let us look at the year 2000 AD, in view of the predictions. It is we, ourselves, who fit the facts to our own interpretation and 'mis'calculations. Yet, all the roadsigns and milestones have been clearly marked. Those roadsigns are:

a. The reunification of the old Roman Empire, (Bible)

b. The reconstruction of the Temple of Solomon, (Bible)

c. The rise of a European leader to consolidate the many units of what was once the old Roman Empire, (Nostradamus) and,

d. The rise of a Middle Eastern leader who will be able to threaten the rest of the world (Nostradamus).

e. The presence of the "Demon", and his signs: the four horsemen (War, Pestilence, Famine and Death).

Those milestones are only twenty percent complete right now. Not counting the four horsemen, who can be found in every generation since time immemorial. The strong and accepted capability of the European Common Market essentially meets the first. Because all the members of the ECM are the same members who once represented the Holy Roman Empire.

The violent and dangerous behavior of Orthodox Jews, in Jerusalem, is pressing for the destruction of the Moslem Mosque of the Mound, and the reconstruction of the Temple of Solomon. Since the birth of the nation of Israel, the Hebrews have stood the threats and invasions of Arab enemies. But their political advantage with Western nations, has sustained them well. However, now that the Soviet Union no longer exists, and no longer supports the Arab community (with military and economy), the Israelis have been trying to press for their own local advantages. Even though their own scholars and theologians know the warnings are there. Can't the Jews find the peace of mind to leave the Mosque alone, and not press "God" to keep His threats? Or, are they such fools that the God of the Christians and Moslems, can't possibly be the same God of Abraham?

Current historians earnestly watch and study every major European politician, for signs of that one who will step forward. Few even shine bright even to glance at (Thatcher, Major, and Pope John VI). And many, both earnest and crackpots, have proclaimed various Middle Eastern radicals, as the fourth. But none of the Arab leaders have produced the power (Yassar Arafat and King Hussein have even become preachers of peace with the Israelis). Saddam Hussein and Maummar Al-Gaddafi have both tried to take over the region, but failed. The Ayatollah Khomeini presses for the "holy war" that would be required to cleanse the region of the Hebrew curse. Yet, his authority is not recognized by a large enough majority.

Finally, the presence of the "Demon" must be determined either as a "spiritual" presence, by virtue of the condemnation of ourselves, or as a "physical" presence, of one capable of much terrible participation. In the spiritual essence, the Demon is always present. In the physical, many have strived for the title, but few have received the immortality of the title (Attila the Hun, Napoleon, Hitler, Stalin, and Mao). But, none has been proven to be the "Demon" forewarned and promised. This author just prays "he/she" is not the "special appearance" expected within this decade.

We presently exist in the foolish tranquility that the collapse of the Soviet Union (the Red Bear of Communism) and the written treaties between Israel and Arabs (Egypt, Palestine and Jordan) have "prevented" the promise of the Biblical Armageddon (in our time). The text describes the 'red bear of the north' has one of the major players in the final battle. And promises the children of Israel will be set against the hordes of their enemies. Have these treaties totally defeated the anger of such enemies as Al-Gaddafi, Khomeini, and Hussein of Iraq? About the many splinter groups of radicals and terrorists who have no "political contracts"?

Beyond the promised roadsigns are the other stated prophecies and warnings. The frightful and glorious descriptions in the Book of Revelations and by Nostradamus abound in nightmarish horrors and heavenly wonders. These are supported by the expectations of the second coming of Christ and the Rapture, through the authorship of centuries of saints and theologians. As well, are the recorded warnings of the many Visions of the Virgin Mary, and the trance-warnings of Edgar Cayce.

Reviewing and evaluating the abundance of written material on this subject, is it so hard to believe? Are we so self-confident in our own privileged intelligence and wisdom, that these can have no value for us, because we don't want to believe? Do we have to kill ourselves, by the blueprints of historical documentation, just to prove that we're stupid and arrogant?

Beyond the promise and apparent delivery of the coming war, there are the promises of some vast "spiritual" changing. The Jews believe that if it is true, it will be the first coming of their Messiah. The Christians believe it will be the second coming of Jesus. And the Moslem believe it will be the return of Mohammed. (Did you really expect them to agree upon this, either?) Regardless of "who" actually comes, just the fact that anyone comes means that a whole lot of people are going to be "wrong"! But will they be "humbled"? Not with the amount of arrogance they already possess. Each will just "explain" it away as some theological falsehood pronounced by the ignorant heathens (the ones proclaiming, in their own arrogance, how "right" they were).

What if they're "all" wrong? The Hindus believe that every 10,000 years the god, Vishnu, awakens from his sleep and changes the face of the world, then returns to his nap. Wouldn't that really screw up the unholy trilogy's arrogant pride? Even this form of spiritual change would eventually result in another major-scale war, though. Since then the Hindus would believe themselves the "chosen" of the "gods". And would want to claim their "rightful" place as the overlords of the world. We just can't seem to win...for losing.

Chapter 19: The Martian Hypothesis

Traditional science can fundamentally establish the creation and development of the Universe. This generation's resident living treasure, Dr. Stephen Hawking, acknowledges the limits of our understanding, but holds out hope for the answers. In such perimeters, the Universe is approximately 15 billion years old, and expanding. The best estimations are that it will probably continue to expand "outward" for another 15 billion years, before it begins to contract "inward" on itself for another 30 billion years.

Within that spectrum of "time" and "life", the idea that our very puny and rather insignificant specie could possibly be the "center of the universe" is even beyond the ability to imagine itself true. It truly surprises this writer that the Judeo-Christian-Islamic ethic can believe this particularly "ridiculous" assumption, then deny the arguments of other "faiths" that their ancestry comes from out there in those millions and millions of stars and worlds. In all honesty, which is harder to believe that: 1) Man's ancestry dwells in the past lives of physical, evolutionary entities of one or more stars, which may or may not exist? Or, 2) Man's ancestry dwells in the residency of an unseen, unrecognized, unnatural entity, which may or may not exist?

After the depth of my own personal investigation into the written record of Terran history and the present advancement of astronomical science, I have developed my own theory into the development of "intelligent" life on Earth, and the ramifications of the Martian "artifacts". It is not within the defined scopes of traditional, main-stream sciences and philosophies. I do not make apology for this. In fact, I am proud of this fact...if I am found to be right, they will not be able to take any credit for it. And that sounds fine with me.

As of this writing, these are the known facts regarding this subject. There is a "colony" of artificially constructed artifacts presently standing in the desert of Cydonia, on the planet we call Mars. By scientific and geological estimations made by government-paid experts (NASA experts), these artifacts are probably about one million years old. The dating process is approximate, at best, since all data is based on visual and computer mathematics from unmanned satellite probes. Allowing for such a viable discrepancy, the dating could be as long as 1.5 million to as late as 500,000 years. Either way, this is much older than any known, or conceived, human race on this planet. The accepted geological record of Mars also includes the fact that the ecological development could not possibly develop and support any kind of indigenous, intelligent, cultural Martian lifeforms. Therefore, any artificially constructed artifacts presently on the planet Mars were built by a race of "intelligent beings", either from a completely unknown Terran human race or from a race from a completely "new" planet.

The first option, an unknown Terran race, is a very difficult subject. Because any and all records that might relate to such a culture are either classified as fiction (legends, mythologies) or have been destroyed by any of several following cultures, such as the burning of the Library of Alexandria, Egypt. Or do exist and are really "classified" in such vaults as the Vatican Library, the American government, or the Free Mason lodges. Or, they are buried in such locations as have not been uncovered, yet, such as under the ocean off Bermuda, under the Sphinx in Egypt, or in natural vaults in the mighty Himalayas.

The second option, an unknown/totally alien planetary culture is nearly "impossible". Just because our own advanced technology has not reached the scope of challenging such scientific possibilities, and our theologies won't allow us the freedom to imagine such possibilities. This is, of course, based on the information available as far as the global "public" as any confirmed knowledge of the scientific limitations. What if the fringe is correct, and certain national governments do have access to alien technology (either voluntarily or stolen)? What if your microwave oven is based on a crashed UFO?

Regardless of the extreme nature of these two limited hypothesis, the fact still exists - one of them is the truth. Those "monuments" did not grow there by themselves. Although there has proven to have been several attempts to eliminate the historical records, or convert them for political/ theological purposes, there is a substantial amount of circumstantial material to allow for the effective development of the evidence.

First, there is an accepted legend of an unknown Terran race, even though to date no physical evidence has been confirmed. Since Plato and Socrates, many cultures have told stories of Atlantis, and its sister culture Lemuria. Two lands of citizens considered, by the Greeks, to be more intelligent and advanced than the Greek themselves, and the Egyptians. These stories include the suppositions that either or both were destroyed by natural or technological calamities.

The stories of Lemuria reflect the descriptions of the Biblical tale of Noah's flood. In fact, the geological record shows that there have been numerous "destructive floods and earthquakes", throughout Earth's lifespan. But, to the sadness of the Biblical theologians, there has been no effective collaboration of such activities within the geological period consistent with established Biblical chronology (not that such chronology was absolutely accurate, anyway). This written text is not an attempt to falsify the faithful scriptures of any religion...its only to clarify that the facts of reality and the facts of theosophy are not identical timelines.

As for the theory of a totally alien culture, from another planet, there are just historical references for this, as well as Biblical references. The Book of Genesis states (paraphrased), "...and we shall make man in our image..." and "...the sons of gods came down and visited the daughters of men..." The Dreamtime of the Australian Aborigines teaches that Man (the Aborigine) is the descendant of "... the gods from the Point Star (Sirius)..." In Central Africa, the Dogon tribe tells that their ancestors come from the Dog Star (Sirius). Even stronger evidence come for the studied and acknowledged written records of the Sumerians and the Akkadians.

The Sumerian and Akkadian records tell that their ancestral gods not only came from the heavens, but that they lived among native men, loving and fighting. Ruling from afar, and from within the community. These records describe the political and sibling rivalries of the gods, and the battles to maintain control of both Terra and other worlds. The records are so complete as to include air travel instructions, mining and shipping logistics accounts, and many cultural/ceremonial protocols. And, finally, includes that certain native men earned the privilege of actually going to the heavens, and visiting the gods in their own world.

Present-day traditional scholars and theologians argue that the found records of the Sumerians and Akkadians are most probably tribal, religious legends, having no basis in fact or fiction. This bias opposition arises from the realization that their own mythology and religious dogma flow directly from these specific records. Even the Hebrew stories and scriptures of the "beginning" are the direct result of the priesthood borrowing the "old tales" to make a proverbial point in philosophy. Hindu and Indian traditional cultures (Aryan and Sanskrit), also, can trace their own legendary development to the Akkadian records. The Greek and Norse cultures tie their religions and theology to the Aryan, and the Romans tie theirs to the Greeks. So everyone owes their very existence to "aliens".

Point in fact, the Egyptian culture of the Pharaohs does not tie its record to these records (according to the scholars). But there is a great deal of parallel, to dates and timelines. This indicates that, perhaps, the very same originating "culture" established more than one "colony" (such as Atlantis). This would also explain the very extreme similarity of cultural development from the Middle East to the Americas. One such tying factor is the relevance of Sirius to the Egyptian religious oligarchy.

The best scenario which ties all of the different aspects together into reasonable and rational hypothesis is: that a very ancient race of intelligent, cultural and technologically advanced humanoids traveled from the Sirius to all the neighboring star systems. This would include Sol (us), Alpha Centauri, Epsilon Bootes and Arcturus, and perhaps even Spica. There is a very simple logic behind this. Sol, our sun, is about 5.5 billion years old, the whole of the galaxy is 10 billion years old, and the universe is about 15 billion years old. That means that just like in 1.6 million years of the Americas "drifting" away from Europe and Africa could have created several thousand islands, and their cultures, there has been sufficient time for several hundred Terran-like planets and cultures to have grown, succeeded and died...from any number of planets and stars. And our own astronomical experts agree that Sirius is much older than Sol.

Allowing for the parameters of geological time and progressions, a major civilization could have developed on a planet circling Sirius. This culture could have traveled beyond its own star...and discovered any number of suitable colonies for industrial, cultural, military, and penal purposes. In our system they could have found two such suitable planets. Earth for colonization of social people (academics, military, and political prisoners). And, Mars specifically for the mining of needful minerals and ores. Based on our own personality traits, we can readily 'jump' to the assumption that Mars was founded first, for the ore supplies, and that Earth was developed to supply food, water, and relaxation support.

From the oldest recorded writings we know that in the legends, the only ore found of value to the "gods", of any culture, was gold. And that purpose made gold the most valuable commodity on this planet, not its simple scarcity. But, whoever holds the most "gold" when the "god(s)" return, makes the biggest offering for the best blessings. (Gives a whole new point of view to Fort Knox, doesn't it?) The scarcity of gold, and a native population that could be "domesticated" and trained to collect it for them would make Earth less important than Mars. Due to the vast uses of this very pliable and conductive metal in our own "advanced technology" (computers, spacecraft and satellites), we can readily understand another culture's need for this scarce and shiny rock. And why primitive religions would turn gold into the ultimate offering to the gods.

Atlantis and Lemuria would make suitable colonies considering their tropical locations, just above and below the equator. As major islands, and not continents, they would prevent the colonies from having any general contact with the native populations (Neanderthal and Cro-Magnon). As island arising from volcanic activity there would be a ready amount of gold mining available. The third colony, Sumeria, would have been constructed in the continental region which was most stable, by astro-geological determinations.

The region from what is now Lebanon on the coast, down to Canaan in Judea, and east to Babylon and Sumer, all of it belonged to the colony. The reason was simple, this was their version of Cape Kennedy and Edwards Air Force Base. Their lift-off and landing approaches required large, solid land-mass facilities. It is probable that all off-world travel came and went from this location. Supplies coming from the island colonies would have been via some smaller, planetary travel system. Perhaps even only ocean-going means, if the prison colony was allowed to participate in the economic trade program.

For some substantial period of time, these colonies thrived as a real part of the galactic community. Then something happened that disrupted communications and inter-activity between the colonies and the home-world. Considering our genetic natures and propensity for violence, a political war in or near the homeworld isolated the solar colonies. Leaving them to their own survival. Perhaps the exchange with the Martian colonies lasted some time longer. Until the natural disaster struck the Earth colonies, destroying all the inter-planetary travel facilities, and leaving the Terran colonies to their own world.

Without Earth support the mining colonies on Mars would not be able to survive more than a small period of time. Strictly dependent upon the availability of food, fresh water, and fuel. In an effort to mark their location, so that any "rescue vessels" might be able find them faster, the Mars colonists constructed the "Face", one mile by one mile in size. The "city" already existed as the colony to support the miners. The "pyramid" existed as the source of the mining operations, and the "mound" was probably part of the loading and launching facility.

The damage to these artifacts, as have been discovered by the NASA experts, indicate that some of the apparent destruction might have been caused by "combat". The rupture and cavity patterns of some sights resemble those made by missiles entering and exploding outward, such as our own weaponry creates. This supports the argument that a political war struck the galactic community. If the anticipated rescue never came, then those colonies will very well still be there (dead, of course). If the rescue did come, they would have decided that Mars wasn't worth maintaining (or there was nothing left to save).

If that was as far as the "outside contact" went, certain natural situations could still account for the historical record as we know it. The members of the advanced race crossbreeding with the primitive races would create an offspring community with several interesting aspects. The combined DNA and biological characteristics creates a stronger species. Those advanced individuals arriving in the primitive culture would be considered wise men, wizards (they would have brought the making of fire with them), and/or gods. They would become the decision makers within the culture, by virtue of their wisdom. They would have naturally tried to teach their language and culture to the "new" younger generations, and pass on some of their own history and culture so that their efforts would be remembered and learned from. What would begin as real historical information would eventually develop into oral stories and legends, and inevitably drift into the realm of mythology, the truth being lost not in the mists of time, but in the arrogance and ignorance of the generations who followed.

Chapter 20: The Long Story Made Short

In a twenty-five year research for God and the truth, I have come to realize that the truth is not what I expected. And God is not who I thought I would find. The single most important thing I learned is that none of the traditional, historical or theological philosophies that I studied had the one true truth. Neither the Hebrews, the Christians, the Moslems, the Hindus, the Buddhists, the Zen Masters, the Druids, the Scientists, the Atheists, or any other theological, political, or military organization has the right and privilege of professing themselves to be the true "anything" of "anyone". They are all novices who have prided themselves on only learning one small part of the whole truth, and waving that tiny, insignificant portion as the whole and only truth. Arrogance and ignorance are the real banners of the truly blind faithful.

Beyond that I learned that there are no two subjects which are so fundamentally opposite as to literary cancel each other out. Such as if you believe in God, you cannot believe in aliens. If you believe in aliens, you cannot believe in ghosts. If you believe in Science, you cannot believe in Religion. If you believe in Religion, you cannot believe in Science. Or, if you believe in the truth, you cannot be swayed by a lie. In fact, with great probably, the truth you believe in is a lie. And if you fail to see the truth in that, you can find happiness in the lie.

Under the banner of religion I learned that there is a source from which spiritual faith may flow. To call this source "God" is to give it such personification that I cannot accept. The title, God, implies that this source has the omniscient power to take positive action in any activity it desires to. And has the omniscient benevolence to "feel" the compassion that we "want" it to feel. Both of these are obviously advantages that the source does not have, or just does not chose to use it. If the source could positively effect action, great wars and over-lords (such as Hitler and Stalin) would never rise to the opportunity for such power as they had. If the source possessed the compassion that we "pray" for, children would never be born with deformities.

The source that does exist is infinite power, but that power is only available to those "who strive for themselves" to achieve control of that power (God only helps those who help themselves). This gives the blessed powers of saints and the demonic powers of devils. Those who choose the path of "righteousness" become saints and prophets, and those who choose the path of "greed and power" become demons. The essence of every religious text is to teach the individual how to learn to control that power. And there have been those who have actually reached the summit of that power (through the texts of every religion). And those who have learned to control that power for their own deadly purposes. But these few are not the teachers of the rest of us.

Those who have achieved the summit, have taken the step to new levels of life's existence (the parallel vibrational universes). Those who have possessed the desire to achieve, but failed to possess the dedication, are the teachers who strive to find students who will lead them to the summit. But if the teacher fails to find the path, the student will most probably be just as lost on the way.

The student who studies the teacher's mistakes, is the adept who finds the path. It is not a quick and gentle journey. And the student who is detoured by the mundane and frustrating activities of daily life will himself become lost on the way. Only the rare and chosen few who will not be detoured shall gain the summit, and find the power is theirs for the taking. If they have learned love, compassion and honor along the way, then they shall be saints. If they have accepted the skills and curses of the dark path, then they shall be demons.

In the context of religion, the natural psychic abilities of certain individuals are still earnest and real. The student who strives to become the adept develops these skills by virtue of their effort to learn themselves. Those who are blessed with "natural" talent are those with recessive genetic abilities. No amount of theological pompous condemnation and revulsion can eliminate the truth that these talents and abilities are real and natural.

Faith in religion should actually strength and support the individual's belief in the Eternal Source (the Universal godhead), psychic powers, ghostly visitation (the seeing of those who vibrate at different levels), and alien contacts (those who brought us our understanding of the eternal source). These are all direct aspects of true religious faith. Lastly, true theologians must come forward and acknowledge that none of them have the only "truth", and that every form of faith is equal and honored, so long as the student who learns, does so in an atmosphere of social responsibility and personal respect for the spiritual duty of the community whole.

Science is only another aspect of understanding the very same principles that gave birth to religion. The only downside of science is that it steals some power and authority from the priesthood. Which is of itself funny, since the first scientists were all priests, trying to understand the greater details of the subjects they were responsible for. But as with all other aspects of social development, those who found new "facts", created new "sects", and each sect believed its "truth" was the only relevant truth, and condemned all who disagreed. Science as the right and responsibility to study all new aspects of social life. But science has no privilege to add to the corruption of the spiritual community.

Belief in UFOs does not challenge the privilege or authority of any "god(s)", since those who come from the stars believe in the same Eternal Source. In all probability, they taught us to believe in the Eternal Source. It's just that now we call it something different than they called it... that doesn't change the truth. Just like kids in 1994 call their music, "rock 'n roll", even though their music has little, if any, resemblance to the music from 1964. (But it all amounts to the very same thing.)

But all of these things are the parts of the past. They only establish the foundation from which we must build the future. And the future that is there has very little resemblance to the expectations of the majority (the traditional fundamentalists), blinded by their own arrogance and ignorance. This author has little faith in the details of the past experts, and little physical evidence to support my theory as it has been developed over the past quarter century. But here goes:

This author has seen the descriptions of the Biblical Armageddon and the prophecies of Nostradamus, with a non-partisan vision. And I believe that what they "saw" has a real and natural explanation. And I believe that the vast world of literature, science and philosophy only support this theory, without realizing the very truth they touched upon. From Daniel to Nostradamus, all "prophets" have had one thing in common, regardless of language and culture. They were all "scholars" of all the written and oral histories of the surrounding world. And as scholars, they could readily see the same patterns and symbolism in the records of different cultures, and chose to express the "truths" they learned from their own experiences.

The geological record tells us that about every 10,000 years, the Earth suffers a slight physical shift of its angular axis. Not a tilt of great direction (should as 'rolling on its side'), but the shift of the northern polar region (away from the sun). This is the result of such power that the very magnetic authority of the planet shifts from the north to the south. This "polar shift" explains the presence of the periodic Ice Ages, and explains why some "ancient mariners" could accurately describe the land-base coasts of Antarctica (the maps of Piri Reis).

Tilting the northern pole away from the Sun means that the Arctic Circle "never" has the opportunity to melt (creating the wonders of each Ice Age), and the Antarctic Continent remains the closest point on Earth to the Sun (becoming almost tropical). The last shift was just about 10,000 years ago. Therefore, there is another one just on the horizon. With this shift comes volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, continental shifts, oceanic disruptions, and weather fluctuation. The "fact" that the last shift has been dated, proves that some ancient culture existed with some high level of technology (shipping, cartography, writing) 10,000 years ago.

We can readily see the obvious portions of this planetary activity building, right before our eyes. But there are other more subtle facts that the majority have blindly overlooked. Every living thing on this planet is an small, individual bio-magnetic component. And every living thing is effected by the massive power of the planet's magnetic poles. As the planet begins to respond to this periodic polar shift, its very magnetic power and life is effected. Directly effecting the very bio-magnetic components on and within the planet.

As the planet's magnetic field goes into this periodic flux, the very personalities of humans are effected. Those with some adept faith in their spiritual being, face this challenge with due strength and courage. But those without spiritual training, respond with the primitive animal instincts of frightened and threatened beasts. Such individuals would begin to develop the mental and emotional trauma that has given psychiatrists the vast fortunes they have accrued over the past hundred years.

But the psychiatrists have the tunnelvision of those who believe that individual humans are self-contained. They believe that the sick individual who suffers from such ailments are only indirectly effected by the social structure around them. They believe that if the sick individual is separated from the social structure, they can be healed and learn to control their own selves. This is true, but only in the context that both the doctor and the patient realize that the planet itself is part of that social structure.

There are fringe cults who worship Gaea (the Earth Mother), as the personification of the planet's soul. These groups are not totally off base. This planet is a living, functioning being. And the magnetic field serves as its spiritual center. On this point, the traditionalists must come out and join the fringe. And the fringe must realize that they only see a part of the whole, again.

This massive magnetic flux would not only effect volcanoes, storms and earthquakes, but stimulate cultural animosities and military greed. These are the broad, unequivocal facts of this planet's existence. This is the warning of those who survived the last shift. They existed in reality...the Atlanteans and the Akkadians, regardless of where they came from, or believed they came from. Regardless of what their lifestyle was, there must have been survivors. And those survivors would, most assuredly, try to leave future generations a warning that it will happen, again.

Why, then, the definitive details that this promised Armageddon will come in the Middle East? Why not somewhere else? Because of the geology of the problem. According to Richard Noone's research, when this planetary shift does come (regardless of when), it (the planet) has to pivot at some point(s). In Noone's research that the pivot point is Egypt. Why? Who cares? The fact is, when the Earth rocks around and changes its poles, Egypt is the one place that doesn't appear to move, relative to its original position. Accept that, and the only other point which "might" serve as a pivot is the Panama Canal. Which either rises or falls with the oceanic transition.

Even if one assumes that Mr. Noone is incomplete in his final assumption and the planet does not "tilt" with the magnetic shift, there are several important "facts" that have to be carried forward, and accepted. If there is a polar magnetic shift several things will be "immediately" effected: 1) weather patterns will shift from westerly to easterly (northern hemisphere); 2) natural "circular" patterns will shift (water will flow counter-clockwise in the northern hemisphere); 3) flora patterns will be effected by the immediate geological "shock" in particular regions, as well as by weather patterns; 4) High-activity fauna (mammals) will be directly effected by the "shock" of the magnetic shift (high bio-magnetic energy output), while low-activity fauna (reptiles) will be less effected by the "shock" (low energy output); 5) volcanic, oceanic and earthquake shocks; 6) destruction and melting of the polar ice caps, "flooding" the whole world with millions of tons of water.

With all of this as a given, the whole of the Middle East would become the center of population survival during and after the planetary shift. Whoever controls the land, controls the population. If good, spiritual people control the land, blessed will be the future. If greedy, empty, shallow people control the land, damned will be the social structure. Since many greedy, shallow and oppressive peoples dominate the region, we can only anticipate the worst from the future events.

But will God come down and save some few of us? Will aliens come forward and grant us their wisdom? To answer the second question first, No! Those aliens already here have demonstrated themselves to have their own agenda, and very little real desire to protect us, especially from ourselves. Only the introduction of another, different alien culture might present us with wisdom, that of having to protect ourselves from outside interference.

Now, to answer the question: will God come down and save some few of us? Not in the "definition" of the Judeo-Christian-Islamic traditionalism. To do so would establish one religion has superior to all others. And if there is one thing that all religions agree on, God (regardless of the name you use) is not really that bloodthirsty and vindictive. Any truly "spiritual" and "supernatural" being could have, and most likely would have, elected to appear at some time when there would be no other demonstrative resolution could "coincidentally" occur. Legend and mythology, rather than divine augury, is involved in the predictions and prophecies which hold the entire planet spellbound.

Another aspect could be "metaphysical salvation", rather than "theological salvation", but only if certain physical conditions might occur. During the period of the planetary shift there will occur certain changes in the planet's vibrational position, as well. If such changes create "gaps" or "holes" between vibrational universes, then "those' whom some have "seen" as gods shall have the opportunity to come into our physical realm, even temporarily. And some of "us" who have achieved the ability to vibrate at that different level will find the opportunity to join "them". Some of this interchange will be voluntary, if those who want to can get to the "gaps". In other cases, those in the immediate area of the "gaps" will be forced into new worlds.

The strength and consolidation of the magnetic flux in certain geographic regions, during the shift period, will have great effect on the physical, psychic and spiritual levels of those within limited regions. Such could be happening already, in such regions as the Bermuda Triangle, the Middle East, and Sedonia, Arizona. Those adepts with great self-control and self-understanding shall find great flux in their own spiritual and physical awareness. And those weak initiates who have failed to develop self-awareness, shall face great turmoil and suffer great spiritual and physical disruption.

So when will it happen? This author cannot be so arrogant as to say on such and such a date (as some theologians are want to do). But Science and Religion can answer it, if they join forces and open their collective eyes. If Religion will supply Science with all the ancient writings, regardless of sectarian authority, then together they can establish real dates for ancient cultures. Geology already says that the 10,000 year magnetic shift is due, but they measure the world in gigantic scales of hundreds of thousands of years. Religion can give Science for definitive information. Such as realistic lifespans and timelines in Biblical references (who beget who didn't work), and their direct connection to more ancient Sumerian and Akkadian texts.

As well, traditional Science and traditional Religions must open their narrow mind-set to new research information as it comes in, such as the fact that the Great Pyramid of Cheops “might” have been built in 4500 BC when the region was desert, while the mysterious Sphinx is greater than 9,000 BC when the same region was tropical. The fact that planetary magnetic activity does have a direct effect on its biological inhabitants. And the fact the artifacts on Mars are there, not figments of some satellite computer's imagination. Regardless of when this shift occurs, in my lifetime or not, the result with be of Biblical proportions...the end of the world, as we believe in it.

Whether God is coming to punish us all for our sins, or aliens are coming to teach us this was all just a very bad joke, or the planet is going to roll over and die, this event will be the most significant spiritual condemnation of Man's very history. Either way, I'm finally ready for the coming of the end. Are you?

Chapter 21: Epilogue

"This is when the trouble started. Everything they [the people] needed was on this Second World, but they wanted more...The people began to quarrel and fight, and then wars between villages began. Still there were a few people in every village who sang the song of their Creation. But the wicked people laughed at them until they could sing it only in their hearts. Even so, Sotukknang [the Lord of the Universe]...appeared before them.

'Spider Woman tells me your thread is running out of this world,' he said '...I have decided we must do something about it. We are going to destroy this Second World just as soon as we put you people who still have the song in your hearts in a safe place.'

So, again, as on the First World, Sotukknang called on the Ant People to open their underground world for the chosen people. When they were safely underground, Sotukknang commanded the twins. Poqanghoya and Palongawhoya, to leave their posts at the north and south ends of the world's axis, where they were stationed to keep the Earth properly rotating.

The twins had hardly abandoned their stations when the world, with no one to control it, teetered off-balance, spun around crazily, then rolled over twice. Mountains plunged into seas with a great splash, seas and lakes sloshed over the land; and as the world spun through cold and lifeless space it froze into solid ice.

This was the end of Topka, the Second World.

Nothing could say what I have learned better than the above quote. Everything that the experts need to know is in that statement. Only self-delusion can keep anyone from what's so obvious. The Hopi didn't set down the "exact" date-to-date timeline for history, but they didn't really have to. The fact that it happened twice, and is promised to happen again, is all they needed to know.

The Hindu have always stated the timeline, for it was always very important to them to be prepared. Every 10,000 years the god, Vishnu, awakens from his eternal nap, changes the whole world, and then goes back to sleep. But the Hindu never cared for what was going to occur, it simply didn't matter. Vishnu would change it, and they would adapt to it. That's the way of life.

Geologists who specialize in the drift of the American continents away from Europe and Africa, have always possessed another aspect of the truth. Ever since their discovery of the Atlantic Drift and the volcanic activity that keeps the continents "drifting" away from each other at 1-2 inches per year. A side benefit of this study of the ocean was the discovery of the proof that the polar magnetic fields flux 180 degrees every 10,000 years.

Archaeologists who learned that we suffer regular periods of "ice ages" in other predominantly temperate regions, support this theory. They occur periodically...the last was 10,000 years ago. And those, like the Leakeys, who dedicated their lives to proving that Man's life was really millions of years old, opened doors to the most invaluable question of all: if Man has existed for so very long, by himself, why should those of the past 6,000 years believe they're so damn important?

One speculative hypothesis, based on the material presented in this text, sounds "wild and creative", but it cannot be so easily disputed (because it cannot be so easily disproved). "Something" must occur to cause the north-south polar magnetic shift. This shift apparently occurs "rapidly" (geologically), because the samples of the Atlantic Rift do not demonstrate "slow advance". Evidence does not support a "substantial tilt" of the planet's crust, in consideration of the rotational direction and speed. Therefore, what could "flip" the magnetic field without tilting the planet itself so far?

Perhaps, Sitchin's 12th Planet. Zecharia Sitchin's prediction is that such a planet does exist in our solar system, but it has a solar rotation of 3,600 years. Is it coincidental that every third passage of such a planet (comet or planetoid) equals 10,800 years? Could such a "heavenly body" be due in the next ten years? If this planet does exist, why haven't our celebrated scientists found it? First response: who's to say they haven't? How many times have we already proven that those "experts" with whom we trust our lives "lie" to us, either to protect us from ourselves, or to protect them from their own ignorance.

Second response: because they are looking in the wrong direction. Traditional astro-science always explains our solar system in "two" dimensions. Ten planets, and several smaller bodies, which all rotate around our sun, like albums on a record-player. Our scientists do acknowledge that the small planet, Pluto, actually deviates from this "horizontal" universe by approximately 16 degrees. Additionally, the great majority of such "experts" are all in the northern hemisphere, and have based "all speculation" on what they can see. But the best historical evidence indicates that the course comes from the southern hemisphere. The African Dogon tribe and the Australian Aborigines both profess that they can see the "home planet", from their hemisphere.

Sitchin predicts that his planet, Nibiru, is only off the horizontal plane by less than 40 degrees. However, for another planetary body to come "close enough" to Earth to "flip" the magnetic field and "tilt" the northern hemisphere away from the sun, the angle of the trajectory would have to be greater than 60 degrees, and largely elliptical around the Sun. Lastly, this planet would require a magnetic field stronger than Earth by thirty percent (author's math). Such a planetary direction and rotation would mean that two out of every three passes close to the Sun, would send the planet past other bodies, such as Mars and the Asteroid Belt, or to the "far side of the sun".

Lots of this information is speculative, some of it is supported by only the weakest physical evidence, and much of it is as solid as a rock. But if any single aspect were taken, by itself, and held up as the "truth", the theory might not stand up to the test. When taken as a whole, seen as a complete pattern, this theory not only stands alone, but can run the marathon. And bring home the gold.

The one fact that I have learned and confirmed is: "something" is about to happen to this planet. If Man is to survive beyond the end of this decade, or the next century, in anything more than small, isolated, primitive, barbarian tribal communities, the remnant of the cataclysmic destruction of our world, we must become a single planetary social community.

Religious, political and cultural animosities must be set aside, and condemned as anti-social behavior. A central social and cultural authority must be given the power to establish and maintain a planetary set of laws and programs. Programs designed to study, properly interpret, and establish the best possible contingency plans against such a disaster. That organization already exists, but to-date has never been given the real "power and authority" its creation demands.

The self-concerned, separatist and culturally opposing nations of this world must give the United Nations the central authority to determine and enforce cultural parameters for a planetary social community. Then, within this organizational authority, research must begin to determine the eventual timeline of the planet's magnetic shift. Study the broad and specific effects of planetary magnetism on all aspects of planetary life, biological, geological and weather. Then develop real policies and programs for protecting the largest majority of the planet's culture, identifying those regions which will face the greatest and least devastation.

And, the UN must begin research into the other aspects of life. Creating specific sciences in vibrational universes (what are the physical limits and opportunities of such existence), interplanetary contact (find out why the aliens already here have their own agenda), and establishing a real "historical" text of ancient records which includes the planetary culture (not excluding any race or nationality for segregator principles).

The omens that have to be publicly acknowledged are: the actual period of the next magnetic shift, the real study of volcanic and plate tectonics, the truth about alien contacts, and the hidden agendas of both the United States and the Vatican. As of this writing, Pope John Paul VI is one of the few truly honorable men in public office, but he is gravely ill, and his age makes him extremely fragile. As St. Malachy observed, and the Church officially recognizes, there will only be two more Papal Fathers after John Paul. And as the Church falls, so falls the world. What is the hidden truth behind all the Catholic prophecies? What hidden texts has the Catholic Church collected over the past 1675 years?

As an American, born and raised in the United States, I have some great personal measure of pride in my country. However, I know and understand my country well enough to be convinced that America cannot be expected to establish and set an example of openness and cultural freedom. Those traits for which we so readily preach and profess are those same traits for which we will so readily destroy. Segregation and cultural intolerance are daily aspects of American life.

As well, the American government has a two hundred-year policy of lying to the population, not for the benefit of the masses but for the personal advantage of those in power. (Such as allowing slavery, denying women's suffrage, permitting the sinking of the Lusitania and the bombing of Pearl Harbor, using Science only to advance the military, lying for forty years about alien contacts and purposes within this country, and parceling out American aid and support through merely political advantages rather than true humanitarian efforts.) America requires a baby-sitter, to establish and set the criteria, and to enforce our participation in the overall program.

As well, some true measure of the "hidden" agenda of the United States must be assessed openly. It is a very popular parlor game in this country to find a "conspiracy" in every aspect of daily life. But, our own factual history proves that America not only loves a conspiracy, but relishes in making them work (from the Revolution to the Civil War to two World War, and the assassination of political leaders, and Roswell). There are, in fact, whole agencies of the American government who have raised conspiracies to a sublime art; such as the CIA, the Pentagon, the Congress, the White House, NASA, the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and the Immigration and Naturalization Service). But, beyond these obvious choices, there is one which has been a direct part of this government, from its conception, and yet has never been held to public account: what real agenda does the secret society of the Free Masons have with this country?

The last thing that I learned is that no matter what I have said in this text, and no matter what the reader has learned from it, the real truth is that nothing will change. Whatever is destined to come, the vast majority will never accept the idea that they "could" be wrong -- or affected by it. So, they will have to face the inevitable just as unready as they are right now. Those in power won't change if it means losing any of their personal glory. They are truly afraid that this is true, and they will soon have to face "their own judgment day". Those not in power can't change anything, because they don't want to believe they have the power to be responsible. They are truly afraid of what they would become if they became responsible and could change things.

The very best that I can expect is that someone will read this who will eventually survive the coming whatever. And they will know that not everyone who came before was blind. I don't believe that I am any kind of mystical prophet, seer or fortune teller. I simply have a very sound ability to see that many ostensibly different things often have more in common than not. I don't believe in "coincidence".

A coincidence exists only when the viewer of the events has the tunnelvision of being singularly minded, such as scientists in their own specialty, theologians within their own sect, and politicians within their own greed. But when the viewer has the open-mindedness of being familiar with a multitude of different fields and subjects, and owing no allegiance to any one in particular, similarities become apparent between differences. So, I eliminate the coincidences by asking the question, what if? Like, what if I am right?
